Charles van der Merwe

Charles van der Merwe has extensive experience in executive leadership and finance, currently serving as CEO and Managing Director at CREDO since May 2013. Prior to this, Charles was a Partner at Novitas Partners FTCL from February 2012 to May 2013 and held several key positions at BNY Pershing, including CEO for the EMEA region from May 2003 to November 2011. Additional roles include Managing Director at BNY, Vice President at J.P. Morgan, Finance Manager at Standard Bank, and Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited. Charles holds a Chartered Accountant qualification from The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, along with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from the University of Johannesburg and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Stellenbosch University. Training at Rondebosch Boys High School culminated in a solid foundation for a successful career in finance and management.
