Alexander Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and fabrication within the art and design industry. Currently serving as Project Manager and Fabrication Lead at Michael Szabo Studio since March 2016, Alexander oversees multiple projects, ensuring successful completion aligned with the studio's standards. As a Bronze Casting Instructor at The Crucible since 2001, instruction of metal casting classes and supervision of foundry operations have been key responsibilities. Previously, Alexander was the Production/Project Manager at Fletcher Benton Studio from 2002 to March 2016, where tasks included sculpture fabrication, installation, and collaboration with structural engineers to meet safety standards. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz, earned between 1998 and 2000.
