Arun Thamizhiah

Arun Thamizhiah began their work experience in 2003 as a Senior System Analyst at Bank of America. Arun then worked as a Senior Application Support Analyst at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. from 2007 to 2008. Arun joined RBS Markets and International Banking in 2008 as a Production Support Lead / SME until 2010. Arun then moved on to RBS where they worked as an IT Consultant from 2011 to 2012. Arun held the position of Information Security Consultant - Identity and Access Management at RBS from 2012 to 2014. After that, they joined HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management, where they worked in various roles including IT Security Consultant / Assistant Application Manager, IT Security Consultant, and Cybersecurity Risk MI BA from 2014 to 2019. Arun completed an MSc degree in Information (Cyber) Security at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2019 to 2020 while working part-time. Currently, Arun is working as a Cyber Security Consultant at Cyberfort Group, a position they have held since 2020.

Arun Thamizhiah attended Don Bosco Matriculation School for an unspecified period of time. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science at Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy. Arun then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London. Additionally, they obtained certifications including the SABSA Foundation SCF from The SABSA Institute in June 2022, the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PEOPLECERT in May 2016, and the PRINCE2® Practitioner certification, also from PEOPLECERT in May 2016.
