Anand Jayanti

Anand Jayanti is a Psychiatry Resident at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler (UT Health) since June 2019, with a rich history of engagement in mental health and creative fields. Anand serves as Podcast Lead at MannMukti, interviewing members of the South Asian community to produce content addressing sensitive issues such as divorce and relationships. As a Student Counselor at Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Anand supports students in navigating personal and academic challenges. Anand also created an Etsy shop, Postcards from Hope, donating proceeds from poetry prints to various charities. As a Freelance Writer and Illustrator for Thought Catalog and The Daily Dot, Anand showcases creative talents through written and visual media. Teaching SAT subjects at Karen Dillard's College Prep and contributing as a Researcher at the Center for Brain Health further highlight Anand's diverse skill set. Educational accomplishments include earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Texas A&M University and dual Bachelor’s degrees from The University of Texas at Austin.
