Jameson O'Neal has worked as a managing editor, assistant managing editor, chief copy editor, reporter, feature writer, correspondent and almost every other position in the world of journalism. The newspapers he has worked at include the Rocky Mountain News, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Cedar Rapids Gazette and the Omaha World-Herald. Switching to online news editing, he served as senior copy editor at Global Press Journal before coming to the DailySource in 2015.
O'Neal has won awards from the Better Newspaper Contest of the National Newspaper Association, the Scripps-Howard Newspapers Honors, the Iowa Associated Press Managing Editors Association and the Press Association of Greater St. Louis. He has also worked as a historian and as a writing coach conducting writing and editing seminars. He also freelances writing and editing news and marketing copy for companies and nonprofits. He lives among his best friends in a cohousing community in the starkly beautiful high desert city of Bend, Oregon.
