From 1999 to 2004 Vince Winkel was the managing editor of Public Interactive, a division of NPR that provides Web platforms and online news content for over 300 public radio and television stations around the country. Prior to that, he was the operating editor of the Christian Science Monitor’s award-winning website.
Winkel later worked at American Public Media as Web editor and producer of the program “Marketplace.” He has worked for CNN, CBS, NPR and the BBC as a reporter. His coverage of multiple diverse topics has earned him major awards from the Overseas Press Club of America, the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists, the International Radio Festival of New York, the Gabriel Awards and more.
Winkel resides in the St. Louis area. He enjoys traveling around the country and is an avid motorcycle rider.
