Alex Kormann

Alex Kormann is a seasoned photographer with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Staff Photographer at Star Tribune since August 2019. Prior roles include photography internships at both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s athletic department and The Minneapolis Star Tribune. Kormann has also contributed as a freelancer, providing photographic services for various events and venues, and has held positions as a photographer and photo editor at The Daily Tar Heel. Earlier experience includes an internship at The Charlotte Observer, where significant projects included coverage of the 2017 PGA Championship and an investigative piece leading to the closure of a local hotel. Kormann holds a degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, obtained in 2019.
