Dawn Townsend is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in programming, marketing, and communications within the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Programming at The Dallas Foundation since February 2015, Townsend has held multiple leadership roles in marketing and communications within the organization. Prior to this, Townsend was Associate Director at Philanthropy Southwest, where responsibilities included acting as the communications officer and developing member programs. Additional experience includes serving as Executive Director at The Extra Mile, Region VII, Inc., and as Executive Director of the Center for Professional Studies at Loyola University New Orleans. Townsend holds a Master of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, both from Loyola University New Orleans.
