Nighat Bukhari has extensive experience in philanthropic leadership and community engagement, currently serving as a committee member at The Dallas Foundation's Women’s Philanthropy Institute since October 2011. Nighat also holds the position of Chair and President of the Board of Directors at the Hassan and Talat Bukhari Foundation, which focuses on improving healthcare access for economically disadvantaged populations. Active involvement in the Junior League of Dallas and previous board memberships at various organizations, including The Dallas Arboretum & Botanic Garden, underscore Nighat's commitment to community service. Additionally, Nighat worked as the Business Manager for North America at DNA Health Corp and served as the Senior Vice President and Community Relations Director for The Huntington Bank. Nighat earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Financial Applications from Southern Methodist University.

Established in 1929, The Dallas Foundation is Texas’ oldest community foundation. The Dallas Foundation serves as a resource, leader and catalyst for philanthropy by providing donors with a flexible means of making gifts to charitable causes that enhance our community and beyond. The Dallas Foundation gives donors a means to carry out their philanthropic vision. We help professional advisors address their clients’ needs and goals. We also identify community needs and bring together intellectual and financial resources to address them. The Dallas Foundation awards grants for a broad array of charitable purposes in the areas of the arts, education, early childhood development, environment, health, aging, human and social services, and public/civic benefit that improve the well-being of the residents of North Texas and beyond.
