Abby M. McCloskey

Abby M. McCloskey is currently a Nonresident Fellow in the Economic Studies Program at The Brookings Institution, focusing on research and writing about issues affecting families and children since June 2025. Abby hosts a podcast titled "Beyond Talking Points" for The Dallas Morning News, which examines electoral promises and political accountability, and serves as a columnist. In November 2015, Abby founded McCloskey Policy LLC, providing tailored research and consulting services to political and business leaders nationwide. Previous roles include serving as Policy Director for Howard Schultz's exploratory presidential campaign and for Governor Perry's campaign, as well as working as an Economic Advisor for Jeb! 2016. Abby has also held positions at the American Enterprise Institute and the Financial Services Roundtable. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University.
