Everton Bailey Jr.

Everton Bailey Jr. is an experienced journalism professional currently serving as the Dallas City Hall Reporter for The Dallas Morning News since November 2020. Prior to this role, Everton was with The Oregonian / OregonLive.com for nearly a decade, covering various beats including Portland City Hall, breaking news, crime and courts, and local government in Lake Oswego and West Linn. Everton also worked as the Connecticut Statehouse Reporter for The Associated Press in 2010. Everton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from St. John's University, attained in 2010.
