Previously, Ragland worked at The Dallas Morning News for over two decades, holding various roles including Metro Columnist, Executive Management Training participant, and Assistant Metro Editor. Additionally, Ragland has experience teaching as an adjunct professor and writing coach at Richland College and served as a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Journalism at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
