Leah Waters

Leah Waters is a seasoned journalism educator and media professional with extensive experience in teaching and editorial roles. Currently, Leah serves as a Journalism Teacher and Media Adviser at Heritage High School and as a Copy Editor for The Dallas Morning News, both positions held since August 2017. In addition, Leah contributes to academia as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of North Texas's Mayborn School of Journalism since September 2016. Prior experience includes a teaching role at Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD from August 2011 to May 2016. Leah holds a Master’s of Arts in Journalism from the University of North Texas and a Master’s of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Angelo State University, where Leah also completed a Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism.
