Mark Lamster

Architecture Critic at The Dallas Morning News

Mark Lamster serves as the Architecture Critic for The Dallas Morning News since April 2013 and is a Visiting Lecturer at Harvard University Graduate School of Design since May 2023. Previously, Lamster contributed as a Professor in Practice at the University of Texas at Arlington from April 2013 to May 2021 and worked as an Independent Writer & Editor from January 2006 to April 2013. Lamster's editorial experience includes serving as Senior Editor at Princeton Architectural Press from 1995 to 2006, where oversight included the production of over seventy-five titles, and as Assistant Editor at George Braziller Inc. from 1994 to 1995. Lamster holds a Loeb Fellowship from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, as well as a Master’s in History of Art from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s in Writing Seminars from The Johns Hopkins University.
