Norma Adams-Wade is a seasoned journalist with nearly five decades of experience at The Dallas Morning News, serving as a columnist and retired senior staff writer. This role involves reporting on the Dallas-area African-American community and previously included general assignments, coverage of federal courts, consumer affairs, and the southern Dallas bureau. In addition, Norma undertook training as an editor trainee at the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education, focusing on new technology for newspaper editing, and served as a staff editor at the Bob Maynard Institute for Journalism Education, where assistance was provided to train emerging journalists of color.
