Danah S.

Danah S. currently serves as the K-12 Engineering Department Chair, Director of Robotics, High School House Advisor, and Interim K-12 Computer Science Department Chair at The Dalton School since July 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Upper & Middle Computer Science and Robotics Department Chair and Computer Science Teacher at Horace Mann School from September 2015 to July 2020, focusing on intermediate and advanced placement courses, app development, and technology startup creation. Earlier, Danah held positions as Assistant Robotics Coach and Computer Science Instructor at Horace Mann School and as a Research Intern for the Howard Hughes Pipeline Project. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Private School Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University (expected February 2025), a Master of Science in Computer Science from Fordham University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Barnard College.
