Mike Kooistra

Mike Kooistra is a licensed pyrotechnician and special effects operator at The Dancing Fire since December 2016, specializing in fire stunt coordination and pyrotechnics project management. Kooistra served as an IT specialist at JMK Behavior Services from June 2017 to February 2023. Prior to that, Kooistra worked as a creative director and production manager at Attitude MMA, llc. from February 2014 to May 2022, focusing on live mixed martial arts event management, marketing, web content, and social media. From April 2009 to April 2016, Kooistra held the position of ecological outcome manager at Behavioral Services of Tennessee, implementing service plans for individuals with severe mental disabilities. Kooistra's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Animation from Full Sail University (2012-2014) and study at the American Academy of Art (1999-2001).
