Søren Gade

Søren Gade is a seasoned political figure currently serving as a member of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) and as the Chairman of Folketinget since November 2022. Gade has extensive experience in both national and European politics, having previously served as a Member of the European Parliament and as a member of Folketinget in multiple capacities, including as a State Auditor and Group Leader for Venstre. Gade's military background includes roles as a Reserve Officer and Active Officer in the Jydske Dragonregiment since 1983. Holding a Master's degree in Economics from Aarhus University, Gade has also pursued various additional education in advertising and military leadership. Previous leadership roles include serving as the Managing Director at Landbrug & Fødevarer and as Minister of Defense.
