Mahdi Soltanolkotabi

Mahdi Soltanolkotabi currently serves as the Director of the Center on AI Foundations for the Sciences (AIF4S) and is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern California, where responsibilities span Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Industrial and Systems Engineering since August 2015. Previously held the Andrew & Erna Viterbi Early Career Chair as an Assistant Professor in the same departments. As a Sloan Fellow in Mathematics at the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and a David and Lucile Packard Fellow in Science and Engineering at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation since 2018, contributions to the field are notable. Mahdi Soltanolkotabi's academic journey includes postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley and advanced degrees from Stanford University, including a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
