Courtney Clapp, CPA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Courtney started their career in 2007 as a Senior Audit Associate at CBIZ MHM, LLC, where they gained valuable experience in auditing. In 2010, they joined The Denver Foundation as a Senior Accountant and worked their way up to Assistant Controller before becoming the Controller in 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer at The Denver Foundation. Courtney has a proven track record of success and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their roles in financial management and accounting.

Courtney Clapp, CPA, completed their Masters in Accountancy (MACC) from the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business from 2002 to 2007. During their time at the university, they also pursued a minor in Economics.

The mission of The Denver Foundation is to inspire people and mobilize resources to strengthen our community. The Denver Foundation is the product of 90 years of generous donors, hard working volunteers, and visionary grantees. In November 1925, community leaders came together to create an endowment to serve the future needs of Metro Denver. They recognized that community needs are always changing, and they wanted to give succeeding generations some resources to help meet future needs. Today it manages assets of more than $800 million; received $ 67 million in gifts last year (2015 not audited); and holds more than 1000 funds to date.
