Susan Finke

Susan has more than 20 years of experience in acute and post-acute care. In her role as Director of Clinical Services, Susan is responsible for overseeing and moving forward the day-to-day operations of the Admissions teams, the Inpatient Care Center and the hospice care teams serving the north metro area.

Susan directs and supervises clinical leaders and staff to achieve optimal patient and family care and is responsible for the continuous improvement of all clinical practices. She collaborates with quality, compliance and education leaders to ensure clinical practices meet regulatory guidelines and requirements.

Susan has been with The Denver Hospice since 2012, first providing care as an RN at the bedside, then joining the management team as a Clinical Manger and then being promoted into her current role.

Susan’s background as both a nurse and a clinical leader include experience at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s and UC Health in the areas of trauma and emergency department and telemetry.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University and also has certifications from the National Hospice and Palliative Care Association in hospice and palliative care nursing.
