Joanne Epp

Joanne Epp, PhD, currently serves as Assistant Director at the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care since September 2022 and at the Digital Health Department of Health since July 2021. Epp has held multiple roles including Assistant Director and Senior Insights Analyst at the Australian Digital Health Agency from July 2020 to July 2021, and Senior Research Fellow at Macquarie University Centre for the Health Economy from August 2017 to July 2020. Prior experience includes positions as Health Economist at Primary Health Care, Senior Advisor at NSW Treasury, Associate Director at KPMG, and Manager of Research at NSW Treasury. Epp's early career involved roles such as Senior Policy Analyst at AMP Capital Investors and Senior Research Officer at the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation. Epp earned a PhD in Economics from UNSW and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan.
