Johnna Powell

Johnna Powell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology research, blockchain strategy, and corporate development. Currently serving as Managing Director of Technology Research and Innovation at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation since May 2023, Powell also holds board member positions at Fnality International and the Hyperledger Foundation. Prior roles at ConsenSys included Global Co-Head of ConsenSys NFT and Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives, where efforts focused on strategic acquisitions and partnerships in blockchain applications across various sectors. Previous experience includes leadership roles at GLG in corporate strategy and user engagement, and at McKinsey & Company in strategic planning for Fortune 100 clients. Powell holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where research involved advanced radio design and antenna integration.
