Louis Aguilar

Louis Aguilar is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in news reporting and editing. Currently serving as a News Reporter for The Detroit News since August 2022, Louis covers the dynamic stories of Detroit and Wayne County. Previous roles include Senior Reporter for BridgeDetroit at The Center For Michigan from March 2020 to December 2021, and various positions at The Detroit News from May 2004 to March 2020, including Projects Reporter and Business Writer. Louis also authored "Long Live the Dead: The Accidental Mummies of Guanajuato" for the Detroit Science Center exhibit in 2009. Earlier career highlights include work as a Business Reporter for the Denver Post from January 2001 to May 2004 and as a Reporter for the Washington Post from 1994 to 1997. Louis Aguilar graduated from Wayne State University between 1986 and 1991.
