Tom Gromak

Tom Gromak has extensive experience in journalism and digital media, currently serving as Digital Director and Director of Digital Innovation at The Detroit News since June 2000. Responsibilities include management of digital channels, overseeing the Saxotech Online content management system, and guiding video channel operations. Prior roles include News and Technology Director at Detroitnews.com, where oversight of website content management and special projects was key, and Staff Writer positions at The Flint Journal and The (Lapeer) County Press, covering various community and general assignment beats. Earlier experience includes serving as Managing Editor for Weeklies at The Pioneer Group and City Editor at The Morning Sun. Tom Gromak graduated from Western Michigan University.
