Sara Riese, PhD, serves as a Senior Demographic and Health Researcher at The Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program, leading studies on reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health, while also co-leading the DHS Fellows program. Additionally, Sara is an Associate Faculty member at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, teaching Maternal and Child Health Legislation and Programs. With prior experience at Metrics for Management and University Research Co., LLC, Sara has managed research projects, developed technical resources, and provided extensive support in areas such as HIV/AIDS care and maternal health. Sara holds a PhD in Population, Family, and Reproductive Health from Johns Hopkins, as well as a Master of International Affairs and a Master's in Public Health from Columbia, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from UC Berkeley.
