Virginie R

Virginie R has been working in the software engineering field since 1992. Virginie began their career as a Software Developer Contractor for AMISC. From 1998 to 1999, they were a Software Engineer for Intel, where they developed cryptographic techniques and applications to authenticate, secure, and protect digital content and software on Windows and Linux. Virginie then moved to Convera as a Software Engineer, where they developed security, usage models, and digital right enforcement for content protection and distribution. In 2001, they returned to Intel as a Software Engineer, where they implemented client/server software side of the Trusted Computing Platform Alliance Specification (TCG) to enable the TPM card on Intel machines. From 2002 to 2005, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, where they added support for Elliptic curve cryptography and DSS/DH cipher suites in SSL, and developed different parts of a hypervisor secure OS, secure IDL compiler, seamless logon, and airlock system to share data securely between OS of different security levels. In 2017, Virginie co-founded The Diana Initiative, where they served as Co-founder Treasurer and Co-founder President. Virginie recently retired from Intel Corporation in 2019.

Virginie R received their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Portland State University in 1998. Virginie then went on to earn their Master of Science in Computer Science from Oregon Graduate Institute in 2002.
