Ruth Daniels began their work experience in 1982 as an Administrative Assistant at The Hawley Bank, where they later became an Administrative Assistant to the Commercial Lenders after the bank merger with First Eastern Bank. In 1987, they left this position to join The Dime Bank, where they became a Vice President.

Ruth Daniels has a diverse education history. In 1996, they obtained an Associate's degree in Banking and Financial Support Services from Lackawanna College. Following that, they attended the Pennsylvania Bankers Association's School of Banking, where they studied banking without obtaining a specific degree. In 2000, they completed their studies at the School of Banking. From 2002 to 2004, they attended the PA Bankers Association's Advanced School of Banking, focusing on Banking and Financial Support Services. In 2014, they pursued a course called "The Art of Leadership" at the Pennsylvania Bankers Association. Additionally, Ruth Daniels participated in Dale Carnegie Training, where they acquired skills in general communication, although the specific dates for this training are unknown.
