Ananya Navale has a range of work experience in the fields of media, photography, and technology. In 2022, they worked as a Media Assistant at Stanford University School of Engineering. In 2023, they served as a Photography Lab Monitor at the Stanford Art & Art History Department, as well as a Student Photographer for Stanford Magazine. Additionally, they held various roles at The Stanford Daily, including Photo Managing Editor and Chief Technology Officer. Ananya also contributed to the organization's Summer Multimedia Workshop as a Managing Editor, where they conducted lectures and workshops remotely for high school students, developed curricula, and mentored students in storytelling.
Ananya Navale completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Stanford University from 2021 to 2025. Prior to that, they attended Dougherty Valley High School from 2017 to 2021. The Stanford Daily is the independent, student-run newspaper of Stanford University. The Daily was originally founded as a small pamphlet known as The Daily Palo Alto in 1892 and has been a campus fixture ever since. The Daily strives to serve the Stanford community with relevant, unbiased journalism and provides its editorial and business staffs with unparalleled educational opportunities. The Stanford Daily publishes Monday through Friday during the academic year and maintains a circulation of 8,000 to more than 500 locations on the Stanford campus and throughout the city of Palo Alto. The Daily publishes several special issues every year, including a New Student Orientation issue, a Big Game issue and a Commencement issue.
