Matthew Upton is a seasoned professional in the construction industry, currently serving as the Lead Estimator at The Douglas Company since May 2014. In this role, Matthew manages the entire preconstruction process, guiding projects from concept to contract. Previously, as a Project Estimator, Matthew played a crucial role in the preconstruction team, focusing on budget and firm price proposals for commercial projects, particularly in Luxury Senior Living Facilities and Multi-Family Apartments with contract values between 5 million and 100 million. Matthew's experience also includes serving as an Estimating Coordinator, where responsibilities included quality takeoffs and preparing bid packages, as well as an Estimating Co-op position during which Matthew gained valuable industry insights while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Earlier experience included working as a Stock Clerk at Publix Super Markets from May 2009 to May 2014.
