Karl Coveney

Karl Coveney has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Karl most recently served as the Director of Sales & Marketing Asia Pacific at Duckhorn Wine Company, starting in September 2018. Prior to that, from January 2017 to August 2018, they held the position of General Manager at Dynamics & Liquid Solutions. Karl has also worked in various project management roles from November 2015 to November 2016. From May 2011 to October 2015, they served as the On-trade Sales & Marketing Manager and Retail General Manager at Liquid Solutions and Rootstock. Before transitioning to the wine industry, Karl was the Managing Director and Owner of Karl's Good Food & Wine from February 2008 to January 2011. Karl also has experience in investor relations and marketing in the private equity sector, having worked at 3i Group plc as Investor Relations & Marketing for Buyouts Private Equity Funds from December 2004 to January 2008. Prior to that, they were a Fund Management Analyst at Capital International from October 2000 to September 2004. Karl began their career in the Fund Management Department at J.P. Morgan, where they worked from November 1997 to October 2000.

Karl Coveney attended Clongowes Wood College from 1985 to 1991, where they obtained their Leaving Certificate. Karl then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from University College Dublin from 1991 to 1995. In 1995, they furthered their education by completing a Master's degree in Economics and Finance at Maynooth University. Later, in 2003 to 2005, they completed a Diploma in Wine & Spirits at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and subsequently obtained another Diploma in Wine & Spirits from the same institution. Additionally, they completed the WSET Level 4 - Diploma.
