Tim Mayo

3D Generalist at The DVI Group

Tim Mayo has worked in the 3D animation and video production industry since 2008. Tim began their career as a Field Technician at Oklahoma State University in 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Lead Artist at Solid Fiction. In 2010, they were a Freelance Rotoscope Artist at MG Studio. From 2011 to 2019, they worked at The DVI Group as a 3D Generalist. In this role, they were the lead artist for all aviation 3D animation training videos and a key animator for many 3D advertisements. Tim also developed video training material for Aviation companies, built clean 3D models from image reference materials, and was an expert at utilizing Maya to build entire animations from concept to final render. Additionally, they were very familiar with the redshift rendering pipeline and had extensive knowledge in trouble shooting deadline render farm issues.

From 2011 to 2019, Tim Mayo also worked at Industrial 3D as a 3D Generalist. In this role, they were the project manager for many high-end industrial product demonstration videos that have been used in training, trade shows, and commercials. Their experience included communicating with clients and subject matter experts to quickly and precisely develop training and advertisement material, managing a team of animators to create and deliver videos and animations, developing video training material for industrial companies, creating a mobile application for HVAC training, and creating a framework for instructional material on mobile devices.

Overall, Tim Mayo has been successful in creating training animation videos for both Delta Airlines and United States Air Force with 100% on time delivery to satisfied customers, resulting in long term work. Tim has also built training videos for multibillion-dollar companies with 100% on time delivery.

Tim Mayo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Animation from Full Sail University in 2006-2007 and a Masters of Science degree in Game Design from the same institution in 2009-2010.
