Investigative Reporter

Natalie Hausmann currently pursues a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism at American University and has gained diverse experience in sustainability, advocacy, and journalism. As a Zero Waste Office Intern at American University, Natalie worked on initiatives to reduce food waste and food insecurity while leading AU's chapter of the national Food Recovery Network. At the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Natalie coordinated volunteer engagement activities, managing databases and creating accessible materials for thousands of volunteers. In the role of Advocacy Coordinator at Arts Services Inc., Natalie led a data collection project for the Arts and Economic Prosperity Report and created candidate surveys for upcoming elections. Additionally, experience as an Investigative Reporter and News Staff Writer for The American University Eagle involved covering campus and local news while prioritizing diverse voices, and reporting for The Buffalo News included coverage of breaking news and major issues affecting the community.
