Matthew Herberg

Matthew Herberg, M.D. has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Matthew currently works as a Head and Neck Surgical Oncologist & Reconstructive Surgeon at The Ear, Nose, Throat and Plastic Surgery Associates since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army since July 2010. Matthew also worked as a Head & Neck Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgeon at William Beaumont Army Medical Center from September 2021 to April 2023. Dr. Herberg has also been a Clinical Instructor at Johns Hopkins Medicine from July 2019 to June 2021. Matthew held various roles at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, including Chief of the Department of Surgery, Staff Physician, and Chief of Otolaryngology Service from July 2015 to June 2019. Their earlier experience includes working as an Otolaryngology Resident at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center from July 2010 to June 2015.

Matthew Herberg, M.D. obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from New York Medical College in 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program at Columbia University from 2003 to 2005. Matthew received their undergraduate education at Yale University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science & Psychology from 1998 to 2002. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Candidate Fellow of the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2019. In 2016, they obtained the Diplomate status from the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS).
