Ron Williams is a highly experienced professional with a strong leadership background in public service and industrial consulting. Serving as Chairman for both the East Tennessee Development District and the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency since September 2018, Williams oversees initiatives affecting 16 counties. Additionally, Williams holds the position of President of the Tennessee Municipal League and is a Board Member of the East Tennessee Transportation Planning Organization, focusing on road development, as well as the Joint Economic Development of Knox County, which emphasizes industrial development. As Mayor and an Alderman for the Town of Farragut, Williams has been involved in local governance since August 2016. Prior to their public service career, Williams was a Technical Application Consultant and Mediator at WillOne, providing expertise in industrial project applications. Williams' educational background includes a degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, supplemented by vocational training in advanced auto mechanics and industrial machine shop operations.
