Sharon Cooper is a senior executive with extensive experience in digital transformation, strategy development, and product innovation. Currently serving as Chief Digital Officer at The Economist Intelligence Unit since August 2018 and as a Non Executive Director at Pharmaceutical Press since February 2023, Sharon has a proven track record of successfully leading change initiatives across various organizations, including a tenure as Chief Digital Officer at BMJ from 2012 to 2018, where a product portfolio was shifted from loss to profit. Previous roles include Deputy Director at the Government Digital Service and Director of Product Strategy and Innovation at the Cabinet Office, where Sharon was instrumental in implementing digital services for government agencies. Educational qualifications include a BSc Hons. in Chemistry with Management Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London.
