Colm Kinsella

SVP Legal And Head Of Data Privacy at The Economist

Colm Kinsella began their work experience in 2010 as a server at Gosman's Clam Bar. Colm then worked as an intern at Matheson in 2011, followed by a summer work student position at Slaughter and May. In the same year, they also served as an activity leader at Embassy CES and worked as an activities coordinator at International House. In 2012, they were a transaction specialist at arvato Finance before becoming an accelerated LPC student at BPP. Colm joined Santander UK in 2017 as a lawyer for a year before moving to Slaughter and May as a trainee solicitor and then as a corporate associate until 2020. Finally, they are currently working at The Economist, with roles including senior legal counsel, head of data privacy, and now SVP Legal and Head of Data Privacy.

Colm Kinsella completed their education with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their Leaving Certificate in 2008 from Meanscoil Íognáid Rís (Naas CBS), with a focus on Business Studies, Economics, English, Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Irish, and Physics. Additionally, in 2014, they pursued the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP Law School.
