Hervé Schnegg

Hervé Schnegg has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data science and business intelligence. Hervé is currently the Head of Data Science at The Economist since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the same role at Station10 from October 2021 to July 2022. Hervé also worked as a Principal Data Scientist at Station10 from October 2019 to October 2021. Additionally, Hervé has worked at General Assembly, where they held multiple positions including Distinguished Faculty Member, Data Science Product Advisory Board Member, and Lead Data Science Instructor from January 2019 to December 2021. Hervé also has experience as a Principal Data Scientist, Lead Data Scientist, and Data Scientist at The Telegraph from 2015 to 2019. Before that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Bright North from June 2013 to December 2014, and as a BI Developer at Fitch Ratings from March 2011 to June 2013. Hervé also worked as a BI Consultant at Linalis from January 2011 to March 2011, and as a Senior BI Consultant at Cambridge Technology Partners from March 2009 to December 2010. Hervé founded and served as the Director of datamorphose ltd from March 2006 to February 2009. Hervé began their career as an MIS Consultant at Accenture in January 2006. Overall, Hervé Schnegg has demonstrated a strong background in data science, business intelligence, and teaching in various organizations throughout their career.

Hervé Schnegg obtained a Data Mining and Applications Graduate Certificate from Stanford University in 2014. Hervé also holds an MSc in Financial Management from HEC Lausanne - The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne, which they completed from 1994 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Hervé Schnegg has obtained several certifications, including the Data Engineering, Big Data, and Machine Learning on GCP Specialization from Coursera in 2020. Hervé has also completed various courses in deep learning, convolutional neural networks, hyperparameter tuning, and machine learning projects, all from Coursera in 2018. Additionally, they have completed a Basic Barista Certificate from Baristabarbar, Barista School & London Coffee Lab in 2017 and a Data Science and Engineering with Apache Spark course from edX in 2016. In 2012, they obtained a Data Science Associate certification (EMCDSA) from EMC Proven Professional.
