Sarah Coolican

Head Of Content & Programming - Europe, Custom Events at The Economist

Sarah Coolican has a diverse work experience, starting as a Project Assistant at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2017. Sarah then worked as an Executive Assistant at the Institute of Risk Management from 2019 to 2020. Sarah further expanded their skills by working as a Business Strategy Analyst and Content Producer at Clear Path Analysis in 2021. Sarah joined LSE IDEAS in 2020, first as a Research Associate and then as a Programme Manager for the Central and South Eastern Europe Programme. Sarah then moved on to Clarion Events in 2022, where they held roles as a Conference Producer and later as a Senior Conference Producer in the Defence & Security sector. Their most recent role is as Head of Content & Programming - Europe, Custom Events at The Economist, starting in May 2023.

Sarah Coolican completed their MSc in International Relations at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a BA First Class Honours degree in Politics and Eastern European Studies from UCL, where they studied from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their academic achievements, Sarah also obtained certifications in Copyediting: Intermediate and Proofreading from the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) in 2021.
