Doug Paton

Doug Paton has a diverse work experience history. Doug began in 2011 as a Project Coordinator at BlackBerry, where they worked on infrastructure software projects until 2012. In 2014, they joined RBC as a Client Advisor, then transitioned to various roles such as Business Analyst and Manager, Client Care. In 2014, they also briefly worked as an Information Systems Officer at Right To Play. In 2018, Doug joined The Edge Benefits, starting as a Sales Consultant and later becoming Sales Director in July 2022.

Doug Paton attended McMaster University from 2008 to 2013, where they earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree. During their time at McMaster University, they did not declare a specific field of study. In addition to their degree, Doug Paton has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they completed the Investment Funds in Canada program offered by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). In 2018, they obtained the Life License Qualification Program certification from the IFSE Institute. Later in the same year, they became a member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA).
