Nelson Bassett

Nelson Bassett is an experienced training manager currently at The Edinburgh Academy since August 2015, previously serving as the Apprenticeship Team Manager for CIA Scotland and Ireland at The Colleges Partnership Ltd, where responsibilities included managing trainers across multiple sites to ensure compliance with National Occupational Standards. With a strong background in training and development, Nelson has held various roles including Assessor at ILM - MetTECH UK and Training and Development Manager at the UK Ministry of Defence, where strategic training practices were implemented for teams of individuals. Other notable experiences include logistics management and multinational training delivery for military cooperation across several countries. Nelson holds a BA (Hons) in Leadership and Management from Northumbria University and multiple relevant certifications in management and training.
