Patricio Meller

Dr. Patricio Meller is President of Fundación Chile. He also holds positions as Full Professor, University of Chile; Senior Researcher, CIEPLAN and is Academic Director of the Global MBA at the U. of Chile. He has been President of Presidential Advisory Board Jobs and Equity (Designated by President Michelle Bachelet); Member of Board Scientific MILENIO Program, MIDEPLAN; Director of CODELCO (Designated by President Ricardo Lagos); Researcher and Designer of the website FuturoLaboral (Ministry of Education) containing information of labor market for professional careers; Member of Board Science & Technology Program, CONICYT; Member of Presidential Advisory Board Technological Innovation.

He has been Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering, and Director of the Master in Management and Public Policy at the University of Chile. Additionally, he has served as a Visiting Professor at UC San Diego, University of Oviedo, Boston University and Notre Dame University. Dr. Meller has been a Visiting Researcher at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is the author and editor of 17 books in Spanish, English and French and 72 journal and book chapters specialized in economics (43 articles in Spanish, 26 in English and 3 in Portuguese). Dr. Meller holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
