Katelyn grew up in Zachary, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University Honors College in 2019 earning a Bachelors in Science Majoring in Kinesiology with a Minor in Psychology. She received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina in May of 2022. She participated in a pediatric rotation at Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas in the acute care setting treating patients in departments including trauma/neurology, oncology, and NICU/PICU, with a main focus in the cardiovascular department. She gained experience working with patients of a diverse age range with various congenital abnormalities, feeding difficulties, those recovering from transplants and more. Katelyn has additional pediatric experience with her Doctoral Capstone Experience working with a medically-complex school in Charleston to aid students with diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorder, developmental delays and others.
