Mark’s education career has been in teaching, school and local authority leadership and latterly leading a Professional Association and Charity. Mark has curriculum expertise (he co-wrote the Programme of Study for Computing in England and has contributed to similar national curriculum development in other nations), school leadership and professional development experience (working with hundreds of head teachers on their professional development through the National College for School Leadership).
Mark has, on numerous occasions, worked with the DfE on evaluating bids, developing thinking and policy and promoting practice. Currently Mark supports young entrepreneurs and start-up companies in the Education space and is engaging with Parliamentarians in an APPG looking at Skills for a Digital Age. Mark and his family are fully committed to local church life and, wherever time and employment have taken them have sought to serve. Mark has led volunteer teams and served at conferences and events on repeated occasions and in various roles.
