Calen MacDonald is an experienced professional currently serving as an IDEAS Fellow in Residence at Emory Residence Life, providing guidance to first-year students during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and designing engaging interdisciplinary programming. In addition to this role, Calen has been an IDEAS Fellow since August 2019, contributing as a teaching assistant and course planner for a course focused on classical and early modern literature. Calen also holds a position as a lab assistant and has been a senior staff writer for The Emory Wheel, where a total of 50 articles have been researched, written, and edited, including an award-winning piece on budget misallocation by the Student Government Association. Calen earned a Bachelor's of Science and a Bachelor's of Arts in Neurobiology and Behavior and English and Creative Writing from Emory University in 2022.
