Laurence Hooper has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Laurence started their career as a Reporter at Westchester Rockland Newspapers in 1987 and then worked as an Associate Editor at Philadelphia Magazine in 1988. Laurence later joined The Wall Street Journal as a Staff Reporter in 1989 and worked there until 1993. From 1993 to 1995, Laurence worked as a Features Editor at Worth Magazine. Laurence then moved on to CondeNet in 1996 and held various roles there until 1999. Laurence joined AOL in 1999 as an Executive Director and remained with the company until 2007. Laurence then founded Loladex, where they served as the Co-founder and CEO from 2007 to 2009. Laurence then joined KaBOOM! as the Senior Director of Online Initiatives from 2009 to 2011. Laurence'smost recent position was as a Marketing Principal at The Employment Law Group, P.C., where they have been working since 2013.
Laurence Hooper completed their Juris Doctor (J.D.) with honors in Intellectual Property Law at The George Washington University Law School in 2017. Prior to this, they graduated with an AB in International Relations from Princeton University in 1987. Additionally, Laurence participated in a summer fellowship at the Poynter Institute in the same year.
