Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson has extensive experience in the energy trading sector, currently serving as the Director of East Power Trading at The Energy Authority since May 2005. Throughout his tenure at The Energy Authority, Matthew has held various positions including Director of RTO Trading, RTO Resource Manager, and Term Energy Trader, showcasing a progression in responsibilities focused on resource management and trading operations. Prior to this, Matthew worked as a Trading Services Specialist at FirstEnergy Solutions Corp. from January 2001 to May 2005 and completed an internship at the World Trade Organization in early 2000. Matthew holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Cleveland State University, which was pursued from 2003 to 2004, and a BBA in Economics from Kent State University, completed in 2001.
