Michael Gehring

Michael Gehring, CFA has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Michael is currently serving as the Director of Portfolio Management & Analytics at The Energy Authority. Prior to this, they worked as a Portfolio Manager at the same company. Before joining The Energy Authority, Michael worked at ExxonMobil in various roles. Michael served as a Strategic Advisor and Vice President of ExxonMobil Power & Gas Services Inc, where they managed gas and power financial trading and hedging books, U.S. PPA origination, and business development. Michael also worked as a Supervisor of Planning & Strategy at SeaRiver Maritime and as an Advisor of LNG Market Development. Additionally, Michael has experience in capital markets, affiliate finance, securities trading, and financial analysis. Michael has a strong background in project/structured finance and economics, having worked on projects in regions like Papua New Guinea, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Gulf of Mexico, Angola, United Kingdom, and Norway. Overall, Michael has demonstrated expertise in portfolio management, financial trading, business development, and strategic planning in the energy industry.
