Ryan Turner

Ryan Turner has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ryan started their career as an Inventory Specialist at Bass Pro Shops in 2004. Ryan then moved on to the Missouri Department of Transportation as a Procurement Specialist from 2006 to 2007. After that, they joined City Utilities of Springfield and worked as a Buyer from 2007 to 2014, and later as a Power System Scheduler from 2014 to 2015. Since 2015, Ryan has been working at The Energy Authority. Ryan started as an RTO Resource Specialist, responsible for analyzing market congestion and volatility, submitting asset offers and load bids, and acting as a resource on RTO rules. Ryan then transitioned to the role of Financial Trader, where they engaged in proprietary trading across various energy markets. Currently, Ryan holds the position of Director of Commercial Strategies at The Energy Authority, which they assumed in December 2020.
