Sarah Valovcin is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience at The Energy Authority since July 2013, holding positions ranging from Principal Data Scientist to Quantitative Analyst. Prior to this, Sarah worked at the Colorado School of Mines from August 2011 to May 2013 as a Research Assistant, collaborating with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to evaluate energy simulation tools and model energy consumption in residential settings. In addition to responsibilities in statistical analysis and validation, Sarah contributed to educational initiatives, preparing lesson plans and conducting activities to engage students in math and science. Academically, Sarah holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science, both from Colorado School of Mines.
